Directions to Wilmington Riverfront Parking
From I-95, take exit 6 (DE-9/Fourth St toward DE-4/M.L. King Jr Blvd; Maryland Ave). See Parking info below. Registration and start/finish at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park.
Parking, Start / Awards Area
Race Day Parking for Participants, Spectators and Volunteers:
- Amtrak parking lot is just across the street from Start/Finish at 50 Rosa Parks Dr., Wilmington, DE 19801. Participants will be emailed a voucher for $5 (discounted) all-day parking, paid when departing.
- Free parking is available on streets and lots throughout the riverfront area on first-come-first-served basis.
- NO PARKING is permitted in the small lot for Riverfront Market / Banks Seafood
Course Maps
The 2026 Delaware Distance Classic 15K & 5K Road Races will be out and back along Riverfront Wilmington to the Jack A. Markell Trail through the Russell Peterson Wildlife Refuge and bike paths towards New Castle. Course has been moved to start/finish at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in order to avoid a major road crossing near 15K turnaround.

The Jack A. Markell (JAM) Trail opened in June, 2018. Except for the first 25 seconds, this video is a tour of most of the 15K course, for the return trip to the finish.
